Smudge Sticks

The origins of smudging are lost in the mists of time, but it’s certain that ancient cultures right across the world used the smoke from sacred herbs to protect and cleanse. Originally, it may have been purely practical as our ancestors discovered that driving their livestock through smoke would kill off a host of pests, preventing diseases.

Studies have shown that smudging clears the air of over 90% of bacteria present in the air

Our smudge sticks are made from locally wildcrafter herbs and as such change regularly.  They can include herbs such as yarrow, rosemary, pine, st.john’s wort, calendula, rose, sage and lemon balm.
